Join us on May 10, 2008, for a day of Fighting, Classes and other fun activities at our Heavy Weapons Tourney and Martial Schola. The event will be held at the Wildwood Sports Center, 5740 Fikes Rd, Elbridge NY, 13060 and will be open for the event from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. May 10, 2008.
The tournament will start with a bear pit tourney, followed by either a single or double elimination tournament, followed by a melee. There will be overall winners for the bear pit and single/double elimination tourneys. The melee however has a twist. The top two Baronial finishers from the previous two formats will be the commanders for the melee teams. All other fighters wishing to participate will be picked from a pool by the commanders. The commander whose team wins the melee finale will, with acceptance of the responsibility and approval from the Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, become the next Heavy Weapons Champion of Delftwood. As this tournament will determine who is to be the next Heavy Weapons Champion of Delftwood, it will test stamina, individual prowess, and leadership. We hope to be able to utilize a castle-like/town format for the melee using existing structures on site.
There will be time for pick-ups and other melee practices to go along with a number of planned, martial-related classes. Bring your whooping sticks and be prepared for a smashing good time.
Classes will be offered in a variety of subjects, with a complete list available on our website.
There will be a German themed feast, presented by Lady Felicity Flußmüllnerin and Lord Fridrich Flußmüllner (Ciarrai & Fred Eaton, 4185 Coye Rd Jamesville, NY 13078, 315-469-1806, ciarrai.eaton@gmail.com ), to whom you should direct dietary concerns. Feast will be limited to 50 people, so please reserve early.
