Hear ye, Hear ye! On July 10, 2010 come join us as we help history come to life at the Cayuga County Fair in Weedsport, NY! At the request of the County, we will be doing a full day’s demo of our favorite things: Fencing, Fighting, Music and Arts & Sciences. Please feel free to bring objects to show, crafts to share, and friends to trade blows with! We have 4000 square feet to play in so bring all your favorite toys! The County is providing hay bales a plenty, as well as electricity and space for forging.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for recruiting new members and showing the best of the Society to the public. SCA members will have a free day’s admission to the Fair. (The only thing we need to pay for is ride tickets and food.) Set-up time is from 8 to 10:30am, and the demo will run from 11am until 6pm. Those who let us know in advance that they will be here will have a parking and admission pass to present at the gate. Carpooling is recommended, but we will have a parking area set aside after unloading, at the Dirt Hall of Fame/ Racing Museum, directly behind our assigned area.

The Cayuga County Fair is held at the Weedsport Speedway, conveniently located off Exit 40 of the NYS Thruway on Route 31 in Weedsport, NY.

From East/West: Take the thruway to Weedsport (exit 40). From the exit ramp turn right onto Rt. 34. At the traffic light (approx. 1/2 mile) turn left onto Rt. 31. Fairgrounds are 1/4 mile from intersection on the left hand side.

From North/South: Take Rt. 34 to Weedsport. Turn East onto Rt. 31. Fairgrounds are 1/4 mile from intersection on the left hand side.
