Barony of Delftwood
Here follows the report of the Court of Their Excellencies, Artemius
Andreas Magnus and Clarice Roan, eighth Baron and Baroness of
Delftwood. Court held on the 30th day of August, A.S. XLIII (2008) at
their Shoote in the Wildwood in the Barony of Delftwood. Felicity
Flußmüllneren and Éadaoin ingen Chanacáin,
attending heralds. Alheydis von Körckhingen, reporting herald.
Their Excellencies called forth those gentles for whom this was their
first event. Upon noting the shyness and modesty of his newest
subjects, His Majesty, Khalek Khan, enthusiastically proclaimed that
this had, in fact, been his first event in the society. Following the
courageous example of their Khan, other gentles came forward and
received words of welcome and tokens of hospitality from Their
Excellencies, who encouraged their future endeavors in the society.
Their Excellencies called forth the youth there present and thanked
them for their enthusiastic participation, in appreciation of which the
youth were nourished with small cakes.
Their Excellencies called forth the stewards of the event, Lord Edward
Harbinger and Lady Anastasie de Lamoure, and thanked them for their
fine work in organizing the events of the weekend.
Lady Anastasie presented scrolls of appreciation to all youths who had
so courageously defended the baronial lands from invading beasts.
Their Excellencies received Lord Edward the Grey of Greyledge, who
recounted unto Their Excellencies and to the assembled populace the
Legend of the Arrow. Lord Edward then presented unto Austin, the
youngest archer present, that self-same legendary arrow, crafted by
Thyri Oddsdottir and gifted by Lord Edward the Grey.
Their Excellencies expressed their delight at the exemplary courtesy
displayed by the youth during the defense against the monsters.
Their Excellencies received their Thrown Weapons Champion, Lord Gyles
de Blair. Their Excellencies thanked Lord Gyles for his service as
champion and spoke warmly of his years of support of the baronial
thrown weapons program. His term of service as champion at an end, Lord
Gyles was divested of the regalia of that office.
Lord Fridrich Flußmüllner was proclaimed the victor of the
day's thrown weapons tournament and the new baronial thrown weapons
champion. Their Excellencies invested him with regalia befitting his
office and bid him take his place among their protectors. Scrolls by

The Honorable Lord Lochlainn mac Faoláin Bháin,
known as Silverwolf, was proclaimed the victor of the Seven Pearls
Archery Tournament and named Seven Pearls Archery Champion. Scroll by

Their being no further business before Their Excellencies, court was
closed.

Their Excellencies called forth those youths who had participated in
the youth thrown weapons shoot. Bran mac Dímmáin and
Vilhjálmr Eðvarðarson were presented scrolls of
appreciation, made by Lady Anastasie de Lamoure.
Lord Omelan the Left of the Kingdom of the East was proclaimed the
overall victor of the day's archery shoot. Scroll by Lady Anastasie de

Their Excellencies received Lady Éadaoin ingen Chanacáin,
who delighted the populace by giving voice to the song "The Fruit of
the Yew" writ by the hand of James Treebull the Stubborn with baronial
embellishment by Lady Éadaoin ingen Chanacáin.
Their Excellencies expressed their appreciation of the past year's
service of Lord Aidan Ransford as their champion of archery and
protector. His term at an end, the regalia of that office was returned
to the keeping of Their Excellencies, and Lord Aidan was relieved, in
absentia, of his duties.
Seamus Rogan was proclaimed the new baronial archery champion and
invested with the regalia of that office. Seamus took his place among
the protectors of Their Excellencies upon the dais.
Their Excellencies called forth those members present of the Order of
the Windmill. Remarking that it was time that the numbers of the order
were increased, Their Excellencies brought forth an Order Medallion and
placed it upon the person of Lord Edward Harbinger, in recognition of
his many services to the barony, especially in the field of archery.
